Adobe unable to find copies in copyright trial

Adobe can't find any proof of illegal activity in test-case copyright trial. In the second day of testimonial in the test-bed trial of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), an Adobe engineer has admitted that the company it hasn't been able to find any illegally copied eBooks made with the ElcomSoft's Advanced eBook Processor program. Fujifilm announces three cameras

Fujifilm has lined up the FinePix A205S, S5000 Zoom and S7000 Zoom cameras for an autumn launch. Opening with the A205S, Fujifilm is hoping to attract the novice photographer with a 3x optical zoom, a 2megapixel CCD, a video-out connection to pipe pictures straight to your telly and long battery life. SGI allies with Intel for Linux-based NASA supercomputer

NASA has turned to Silicon Graphics and Intel to build what is described as one of the world's largest Linux-based supercomputers. Power Mac ad banned in UK

Apple's TV advertisement for the Power Mac G5 has been banned after eight complaints about the claim that it is 'the world's fastest, most powerful computer'. The Independent Television Commission has ruled that the ad is 'misleading' and can no longer be shown. Apple insists that the tests used to justify its claims were 'fair and even', but the ITC agreed with the complainants who said that the tests were weighted in the Mac's favour. ...more
