New holes found in IE leave PCs vulnerable

New vulnerabilities in Microsoft's Internet Explorer could allow remote code to be run on the target machine, and there is currently no patch available. Security experts Secunia discovered the holes earlier this month and found they could be exploited even in a fully patched Windows machine. Phoenix and Minotaur renamed

The Phoenix Web browser and Minotaur email client have been renamed, due to undisclosed legal issues. Phoenix becomes Minotaur, while Minotaur becomes Thunderbird. Sun is planning to deliver system updates for its own and partner technologies through a single system: Sun Connection. The first step was made today at its Network Computing '05 event, launching the Sun Update Connection service to support Solaris 10 running on any platform.
