Mozilla 1.5 release candidate available

Mozilla.org has made a release candidate version of its eponymous, all-in-one Web browser and email and chat client available for download. Buliding on the new features and bug fixes introduced in the beta version (listed in the beta release notes), this release incorporates a further 20 or so changes (this time listed in the RC1 release notes) and, according to the developers, improves performance, stability, standards support and Web compatibility. ...more

IT Forum 2005: Office 12 heads into technical beta

Announcing that the Office 12 suite was about to go into its first beta, the President of Microsoft's Business Division, Jeff Raikes, demoed some of its new features in his keynote at this year's IT Forum. The next generation of Microsoft's Office suite is due to appear in the autumn of 2006.
