ATI's Radeon chips on their way to UK

Hercules has confirmed it will have graphics cards featuring ATI's recently announced 9000 series graphics processors available in the UK from the end of August. ATI's Radeon 9000 and Radeon 9000 PRO visual processors boast Quad-pipe architecture (four parallel pipelines to increase rendering speed), programmable pixel and vertex shaders, multiple display support and FULLSTREAM technology to enhance the quality and accelerate video streams. Oftel reviews control on BT prices

Oftel is to review the competitiveness of the fixed telephony market to establish whether controls on BT's retail prices should be continued. The current pricing controls are due to run out in July 2002, and if Oftel rules that competition is effective in the landline market, the controls will not be renewed. Search Engine Strategies 2007: Microsoft lifts veil on AdCenter search tools

Despite a relatively slow start compared to rivals Google and Yahoo!, Microsoft has come out fighting with plans for a new generation of tools for its AdCenter contextual advertising service. Demos of the latest thinking from Microsoft AdCenter Labs were being shown at London's Search Engine Strategies show.
