UN says spam can be canned in two years

AMD publishes standard specification for server system management

AMD has published a specification for what is it calling the Open Platform Management Architecture or OPMA. The aim is to provide server OEMs with a standard interface between the server and the server management subsystem. AMD says that the new OPMA specification defines a whole series of key interfaces for the connector, electrical, mechanical and firmware to allow OEMS to build a flexible, modular, card-based platform management subsystems. ...more
