W3C publishes CSS3 Module working draft

W3C has published a first working draft of a CSS3 Module for designing websites with features often used in printed publications, plus proposed edited recommendations for core XML specifications. In particular, this specification describes how CSS style sheets can express named strings, leaders, cross-references, footnotes, endnotes, running headers and footers, named flows, ad hoc counter styles, paged-based floats, hyphenation, change bars, named page lists, and generated lists. BlackBerry gets speed Edge

RIM and Cingular have announced a new BlackBerry handheld that is the first to take advantage of Cingular's Edge network, the 'largest and fastest' national wireless data network in the US. The BlackBerry 8700c is built on the Intel XScale architecture with a PXA901 cellular processor and is the first RIM device compatible with Edge networks. Edge, or Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution, provides faster data throughput than standard mobile networks, although not as quick as 3G services. ...more
