Sharp heralds 'world first' 3D monitor

Japanese manufacturer Sharp has launched, what it says, is the world's first 3D TFT monitor. The LL-151-3D monitor delivers 3D image by displaying slightly different images to the left and right eyes. These perspectives are offset from each other at the same ratio as the brain expects in a real 3D image and it therefore interprets them as having 'depth'. ...more

Greenpeace ejected from MacExpo

Greenpeace was yesterday thrown out of MacExpo, after the organisers said that they had received complaints about the activities of activists for the environmental campaign group. Visitors to the show reportedly objected to the large number of activists who were leafleting at the entrance to London's Olympia exhibition centre, while companies, including Apple, are said to have been unhappy with their antics inside the venue.
