YouTube speeds police hunt for murder suspect

A YouTube video has helped Canadian police find a man they believe responsible for a murder. Police in the Southern Ontario city of Hamilton said that they uploaded a one-minute, 12-second clip from a surveillance tape onto the video-sharing YouTube site. The video, which showed suspects arriving at a local nightclub for a Sean Price hip-hop concert, garnered media attention and was viewed more than 30,000 times. ...more

4GB DDR memory sticks in volume production

Samsung says its 1Gbit DDR memory is the first to receive Intel endorsement and is already in mass production in DIMMs of up to 4GB in capacity. The 4GB registered DIMMs will be produced for high-end machines - servers, workstations and so on - but even the humble desktop will see 2GB sticks, of the unbuffered variety, and SODIMMs for notebooks will also be produced to this capacity.
