Apple said that the eMac is still a current product, but is now available exclusively on its education online store though it may still be available through other outlets. The machine was introduced in May 2002 and originally was only available to education customers although a month later Apple decided to sell it to anyone who wanted it. ...more Microsoft's Novell subpoena quashed Microsoft has suffered a setback in its efforts to overturn the EU antitrust ruling and prevent the imposition of daily fines for non-compliance A US judge referred to European law before rejecting Microsoft's attempt to subpoena documents from Novell that relate to the EU's investigation, under a special section of American law designed to help foreign tribunals, Reuters notes. 'Enforcing Microsoft's subpoena to Novell would circumvent and undermine the law of the European Community concerning how a litigant may obtain third-party documents,' District Court Judge Mark Wolf said in his ruling. Wolf said originally he had leant towards the software firm, but reconsidered after Microsoft 'erroneously' told him that the European Commission did not have the powers to make the documents available. ...more |
