Nokia unveils first NFC phone

Mobile phone giant Nokia has unveiled its first product to incorporate the NFC (Near Field Communication) shell. Backed by Nokia, Philips and Sony, NFC is a new wireless communications function which is hoped to extend the capability of the mobile phone to becoming a personal identification device. Sega is game for Motorola

Kodak recalls 'shock' cameras

Kodak is recalling around 75,000 CD5000 Zoom digital cameras after customers received electric shocks. Kodak heard from 12 customers who were shocked whilst changing batteries or installing or removing the memory card or USB cable. There have been no reports of injuries. ...more

Cleaner sold again

Media 100 has agreed to sell its software product line to Autodesk, just two years after it acquired the software when it bought Terran Interactive. The products comprise the Cleaner family of digital video editing applications - Cleaner, Cleaner EZ, Cleaner Live, Charger and SuperCharger - and the streaming media software - CineStream, EventStream, EditDV and IntroDV.
