AOL CTO steps down over leaked data

AOL's chief technology officer has resigned after search data for half a million of the Internet company's users was leaked onto the Web. According to an internal memo, Maureen Govern will be temporarily replaced by AOL's former CTO John McKinley until a permanent replacement can be found. Ericsson ropes in Microsoft for mobile email

Microsoft and Ericsson have formed a mobile email venture, a year after announcing their partnership. The new company is called Ericsson Microsoft Mobile Venture AB and will develop products such as email and calendaring tools based on Windows 2000 Server and Exchange.
