Adobe has announced the acquisition of new DRM technologies to increase the document security capabilities of its LiveCycle Policy Server. The FileLine Digital Rights Management division of Navisware has been bought for an undisclosed amount and its technologies will be deployed to persistantly protect documents in PDF, Microsoft Office and CAD formats, independent of how they are stored or delivered inside and outside the firewall.
