Entries are being invited for this year's software design and development competition, the Imagine Cup, which carries a ?50,000 prize fund. Now in its third year, the Microsoft-sponsored programming competition has now gained backing from BT, Capgemini and the venture capitalists 3i. The Crown Prosecution Service has outlined its commitment to combatting crime on the Internet. At a conference on Child Pornography yesterday, the group proposed making possession of violent pornographic material a criminal offence.
