The SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC) has been informed of a malicious pop-up browser window that can result in the installation of a virus able to record and send out keyboard activity when dealing online with a number of banks. Twentieth Century Fox lines up movie and TV downloads

Twentieth Century Fox has announced that it will begin selling movie and television show downloads in the US through its parent company's digital arm, Fox Interactive Media (FIM). IGN Entertainment will be the first FIM subsidiary to offer a selection of download-to-own content, already having an online distribution model for selling PC games (Direct2Drive), complete with the obligatory DRM. Commons Committee warns of risks to E-government

The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee has warned the Government that its plans to provide all its services online by 31 December 2005 is at risk. The danger is that the public will not use the services unless they 'see real benefits in doing so'. The Committee says in its latest report that the government has committed some ?10 billion on 100 major IT projects for providing services as diverse as applying for a fishing licence to filling in tax returns. ...more
