Businesses could lose more than ?7 billion in the run-up to Christmas as employees waste company time browsing the Internet for presents, employment experts said on Monday. New file format causes Mass panic at Microsoft

The state of Massachusetts has caused a stir after it has emerged that it plans to adopt the OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) open file format as a prerequisite for new productivity suites from 2007. German police raid more houses in Sasser investigation

German police have carried out more raids in connection with the outbreak of the Sasser Worm. Five more homes close to the that of Sven Jaschan, the teenager arrested last week, have been searched.
