Iomega is attempting to revive its Clik disk format with a combined digital music player and Clik drive. The HipZip takes 40MB Clik disks, or PocketZip as the format's now called, and connects to a PC much like the Clik drives of old. InfoSec 2007: Companies failing on encryption policies

In spite of several recent high profile examples of sensitive data going astray, only nine per cent of UK companies have an enterprise-wide policy on the encryption of such data, reveals new research. Security specialist PGP Corporation chose the Infosecurity Europe event at Olympia to reveal the results of its study of 541 UK IT and business managers, conducted in conjunction with the Ponemon Institute. Boy hacker goes to jail

An American teenager has been sentenced to six months in jail after being found guilty of hacking into NASA and Pentagon computers. The story sounds like the 1983 classic film "Wargames", but for this sixteen-year-old boy, who can't be named for legal reasons, it was neither film nor fiction. The hacker, known only as "cOmrade", admitted hacking into computers that support the international space station and intercepting 3,300 emails and passwords from the Pentagon computer system. ...more
