Downloads chart debut delayed

The merging of downloads sales figure into the main UK Chart, which was due to go ahead in March, has been put back to 17 April. The BPI has asked the Official Charts Company to delay the merger because it is concerned that independent labels are under-represented in online stores. The science minister has said that satellite monitoring tags could be used to help track elderly people with dementia. Epson preps PictureMate for phone-based printing

Epson has developed a Symbian-based application for printing direct from phone to printer via Bluetooth. Developed alongside its PictureMate 6-colour photo printer, the application will support photos sent wirelessly from a range of Nokia camera phones that use the Symbian-based Series 60 platform.
