Watchdog clamps down on Wanadoo broadband ad

The Advertising Standards Authority has told Wanadoo to remove the 'full speed' claim from advertisements for its 512Kbps broadband service. The ASA ruled that, 'consumers would understand "full speed broadband" to mean the maximum speed available for a broadband service. Bulldog broadband bounds ahead with 16Mbps launch

Bulldog is the latest ISP to begin offering ADSL2+ based broadband connections with speeds in excess of the 8Mbps maximum of most services. However unlike other ADSL2+ providers, Bulldog is not advertising services at the very highest speeds of 20Mbps or more.
