With the US elections almost over, new software has been used to test which of the candidates has talked with biggest forked tongue. A piece of software called Truster has the supposed ability to root out little white lies from those big black ones! Time magazine recently routed the two presidential candidates' voices through the software while they were taking part in a debate and the results proved interesting reading. Britain's high street retailers of computers fare badly in comparison with small independent retailers, according to a new report by the consumer group Which? The report concludes that the indies not only provide better support but are a top of the chart when it came to overall service as well. The report will make for gloomy reading at some of Britain's biggest retailers. Microsoft responds to EC over anti-trust settlement claims

Microsoft is fighting its corner on anti-trust issues against the European Commission. Under the shadow of fines of up to €2 million a day for non-compliance with the original settlement, it claims to have answered - on a deadline day - the European complaints.
