Symantec extends virus protection to PDAs Security specialist Symantec Corp has announced that it will be launching a new range of anti-virus products for handhelds. The software aims to protect Palm OS and Microsoft Pocket PC PDAs from attacks by viruses, worms and other malicious code. In a similar vein to the Google's Sitemaps service, launched in June, Site Explorer from Yahoo! lets a webmaster submit a URL and then returns all the links Yahoo! currently holds within its index. The trials will employ new broadband ADSL equipment to link users to BT's Internet networks, equipment which can be deployed in much smaller units than at present.
