Intel builds up its Internet architecture

Intel has updated its Internet Exchange Architecture (IEA) with some new software tools and a faster network processor. This architecture rests on the premise of an "end-to-end family of high-performance, flexible and scalable hardware and software development building blocks", and Intel intends to keep rolling out new elements. SGI allies with Intel for Linux-based NASA supercomputer

NASA has turned to Silicon Graphics and Intel to build what is described as one of the world's largest Linux-based supercomputers. Enterprise-grade email for the Palm OS

PalmSource, the company that develops the Palm OS, and mobile access specialist Visto have joined forces to produce what they describe as 'a standard enterprise-grade wireless email client for the Palm OS platform'. Specifically, the new email client will provide secure push-email capabilities between Palm Powered mobile devices and enterprise-grade mail servers such as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino, as well as access to the POP3 and IMAP mail servers of ISPs.
