Athlon XP processor prices tumble

One day after Intel cuts Celeron processor prices, AMD has moved to slash the cost of the Athlon XP. AMD's mainstream desktop processor has seen price cuts of more than 30 per cent. Canon has announced four new USB Bubble Jet printers, ranging from the ?59 to ?299. The four printers comprise the S200x, S330, S530D and S830D. Common to all four is a fast USB 2 interface, compatible with computers that only have USB 1, and support for Exif tags, which contain information from a digital camera which allows printers to very closely match the colour and exposure of the original shot. ...more

Sony's new PlayStation Portable handheld gaming and multimedia player is getting a makeover in the US. The device, which is due to launch in the UK on 12 September, now has Wi-Fi capability enabled to connect to the Internet through hot spots.
