Microsoft announces anti-spam product

Microsoft has announced it has built anti-spam products in-house - early versions of which have already been deployed in Outlook, MSN 8 and Hotmail. However, anti-spam vendors can breathe a sigh of relief - the company says the patented technology is complementary as part of the arsenal of products needed to effectively counter spam. 'Spam is our email customers' number one complaint today, and while there is no single solution that will solve the problem by itself, Microsoft is committed to innovating and contributing on a broad spectrum of approaches to help put spammers out of business,' said Ryan Hamlin, of the Anti Spam department at Microsoft. ...more
