Microsoft aims to cut cost of business intelligence software

Microsoft looked at possible acquisitions to gain a foothold in the market for so-called business intelligence software, but decided to build its own business and compete on price against industry leaders, the company's business division president said on Wednesday. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint by BT over 'misleading' ads from AOL. At issue was a direct mailing to BT customers and an email which stated: 'It's not just the money, it's the principle Dear XXX , BT know that people are more likely to change their mortgage than their phone provider.
