Oracle chief puts his money where his mouth is

Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, is so confident of the performance of Oracle's 8i database and 9i application server, that he offered $1m to anyone whose Web site didn't run three times faster after replacing Microsoft's SQL Server or IBM DB2 software with the products.
