Apple denies all-clear for Foxconn's iPod plant

Apple has refuted claims that its has cleared Foxconn's iPod manufacturing facility in Longhua, China of any breaches of its supplier code of conduct. A Chinese website reported last week that the plant had received a clean bill of health after the audit, which was prompted by allegations of extremely poor working conditions made by the UK's Mail on Sunday newspaper. Information and communications technologies are behind half of Europe's economic growth, according to a report from the European Commission (EC). The commission's annual ICT i2010 progress report shows that Europe is moving toward a knowledge-based economy, with technology driving innovation and productivity. Vodafone offers flat rate data deal when roaming

Mobile phone giant Vodafone says it will charge roaming customers a flat rate of €12 (?8.20 pounds) per day for using their laptops abroad to check e-mails and the Internet. AMD cues September launch of Athlon64

According to leaks of AMD's release schedule the Athlon64 processor will be launched 22 September, when the Athlon64-M mobile processor will also be appearing. AMD has already entered the world of 64-bit computing with its Opteron server processor, the industry's first 64-bit, x86 architecture.
