Too much iPhone speculation damages Apple - analyst

American Technology Research has warned investors that Apple shares may be over-valued as a result of speculation about a forthcoming 'iPhone'. Analyst Shaw Wu has removed Apple from AmTech's Focus List of stocks to buy, noting that since Apple was added to the list, following his analysis of its mobile phone strategy, shares have appreciated 15 per cent, while the Nasdaq has risen just three per cent 'While we remain long-term positive, we believe Apple shares may reflect too much near-term cell phone optimism,' he wrote in note to investors.
