Apple discards 15-year-old developer

A 15-year-old programmer who helped track down an 'infamous' OS X bug has been told by Apple that he can no longer take part in the company's development programme. Finlay Dobbie, who describes himself as 'an avid mac evangelist since 1993', has posted an article on his own Web site explaining his predicament. Microsoft to wage massive advertising campaign for Windows XP

Microsoft has launched one of its biggest ever advertising campaigns for Windows XP. Billed as the 'Start Something' campaign, the promotion of Microsoft's three-year-old PC operating system will run for 15 months - taking it into July 2006 - across the US, Europe, Japan, South Korea and India.
