Indie label group says combined singles/download chart is flawed

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has called on the Office of Fair Trading to delay the launch of the first combined singles chart on Sunday. AIM, which represents independent labels, says that the system for monitoring the gathering of chart data is seriously flawed and that many independent labels are not represented in key downloads sites. Software makes 2D into 3D

A UK-based company has released a software package that can generate 3D models straight from photographs. D-Vision Works has announced its D Sculptor package, which can make photo realistic 3D models of a range of objects using a set of photographs. Google has closed a flaw in its Google Desktop search application. Potentially, it could allow hackers to take over a user's computer and run remote code.
