Sony goes organic

Electronics giant Sony has unveiled a 13in prototype display, with a resolution of 800 x 600 utilising organic electroluminescence (OEL) technology. The technology uses an organic polymer material with luminescent properties that eliminates the need for a backlight, thus consuming less power and making it ideal for mobile devices.
