Disney to encrypt Oscar screenings

Disney is turning to heavy copy protection to prevent Oscar judges from selling DVDs of forthcoming movie blockbusters to bootleggers. Novell kick-starts a new group collaboration open-source project

Novell has kick-started an open-source project to build a group collaboration server with a donation of 200,000 lines of code from its own NetMail product. The Hula project includes standards-based e-mail, calendaring and address book functionality that can scale to 250,000 registered users on a single PC with 50,000 simultaneously connected users.
