FBI warns of hurricane Katrina scams

Online donators to hurricane Katrina Internet relief funds should be wary, the FBI has warned. Around 60 per cent of the 4,000 websites advertising charitable services for victims of the hurricane come from overseas, which could indicate that they are in fact bogus, reports Reuters.
