Mobile phone signals sent from traffic jams will enable a real-time travel information service, British telecoms group Vodafone and Dutch navigation systems company TomTom said on Friday. MyDoom-F infections are gathering pace and recruiting zombie PCs in ever larger numbers to launch DDOS attacks against Microsoft and the websites of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). 'This worm is being sighted in larger numbers, suggesting that not all computers have been properly protected with the latest anti-virus updates,' said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos. IBM readies dual core G5 for faster speeds

IBM is reported to be preparing a dual core version of the PowerPC 970 processor, more commonly known as the G5. eWeek reports that the 970MP will comprise two processing units per chip, each with its own Level 1 cache and storage subsystems including a Level 2 cache.
