BT launches SDSL services

BT has launched its first SDSL broadband services following successful trials at 100 exchanges nationwide. The commercial services will be available initially in the trial areas - London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Yorkshire, the West Midlands and Scotland - although BT plans to extend it to another 50 exchanges by January 2004. Dell recycles in the US

Dell has announced a recycling initiative that will mean its US customers can have their old equipment recycled or sent to a more needy home for $15. Dell Recycling will offer the service that picks up unwanted notebooks, desktops, monitors and other select computer equipment from the home for $15 per item. Lost laptops pile up at Heathrow

Unclaimed laptops are accumulating at record rates in the lost property stores at Heathrow Airport, as a result of the recent heightened security. Around 120 portables are handed in every month, many of which are never claimed and end up being auctioned.
