Macromedia has completed its MX product family with the launch of new versions of Dreamweaver and Fireworks. The company also announced ColdFusion MX, a new version of the server scripting technology it acquired when it merged with Allaire last year. Nokia's 6340 allows true roaming

Nokia has announced its 6340 mobile phone that allows users to roam between GSM and TDMA networks. While tri-band GSM phones will work in the UK and elsewhere, you're still limited to GSM networks, limited though they are in, for instance, the US. BPI calls on Apple to open up iTunes

The BPI has called on Apple to open its iTunes Music Store and make it compatible with portable players beyond its own iPod range. 'We would advocate that Apple opts for interoperability,' BPI chairman Peter Jamieson told the House of Commons Select Committee for Culture, Media & Sport inquiry into New Media and the Creative Industries.
