KaZaA faces clean-up deadline

An Australian court has given KaZaA-owner Sharman Networks until 5 December to remove all copyrighted material or shut down. The P2P operator now faces having to implement a 3,000 keyword filter before its appeal against the September ruling that it had unlawfully encouraged users of the software to share copyrighted files. iBook speeds up to 700MHz

Apple has completed its recent round of product updates, with the announcement of a new range of iBooks. The consumer portable Macs now uses G3 processors running at up to 700MHz, and feature improved graphics chips to take full advantage of the next release of Mac OS X. The new entry-level iBook will use a 600MHz G3 processor, and have a 20Gb hard disk, up from 15Gb in its predecessor. ...more

Office goes Live in the UK

Microsoft's Office Live program will start its beta phase in the UK on the 21st of November. The service, which went live in the US yesterday after a 9-month trial period, is aimed at non-tech savvy small businesses looking to get an online foothold. A patch issued by Microsoft just two weeks ago has been hastily revised. The update follows the discovery last week that a security patch issued by Microsoft intended to fix a vulnerability in Windows Explorer caused problems with the HP Share-to-Web upgrade utility.
