Panrix goes into administration

PC vendor Panrix went into administration last Friday, due to plummeting sales and the increased competition in the market. Philip Deyes, of Wilson Pitts, the company handling the administration, told us that Panrix is: "still trading under the protection of the administrators" and that it would be able to fulfil existing orders. Dabber attack worms its way along the Sasser trail

A new virus named Dabber has been discovered that uses a flaw in the code of the Sasser worm to infect systems. Computers infected with Sasser are therefore susceptible to Dabber, which uses a vulnerability in the FTP component to infect computers in the same fashion as Sasser.
