Offspring spawns MP3 album

US rock band Offspring has followed the Smashing Pumpkins' lead by distributing songs in MP3 format via the Net. Offspring, who had a hit in the UK with Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) doesn't have the same issues with its record company that the Smashing Pumpkins had, it just sees MP3 as a viable alternative to traditional methods.
