Spyware strain dictates browsing

Spyware is evolving from simply tracking your activities to strong arming victims to visit potentially nefarious websites, according to PC Tools. It claims to have found a new strain of spyware that analyses the keywords in links within websites that the victim is browsing. Once the victim clicks a link, instead of visiting the page expected, the spyware hijacks the browser and sends it to a site or a set of search results based on those keywords - many of which are unsavoury in nature. ...more

HP to sell 'value' cartridges for all inkjet models

HP is to extend its high-yield cartridges to the whole inkjet family under the new XL value range. The inkjet giant today told selected journalists at its ThInk in Business event in Singapore that it will be reshuffling its consumable lines in 2007 to distinguish more clearly the gap between light and heavy users. Thousands march in protest of iPod murder

Belgian police have estimated that 80,000 people joined a silent march through the country's capital on Sunday to commemorate the 17-year-old man who was murdered for his iPod last week. Joe Van Holsbeeck died from stab wounds after refusing to give up his music player to two men. Sun fires back over Open Source Java accusations
