New versions of MyDoom have been spotted over the weekend, with a desperate plea from the authors for work in the antivirus industry. MyDoom Versions U and V were discovered on Friday, while W appeared a few days later. David Bowie and eBay starred on Tuesday alongside photo-sharing website Flickr and a blog of cute animals as winners of the Webby Awards, the leading international honour for Web content. Winners of the 11th annual Webbys, dubbed 'the Oscars of the Internet,' were chosen from a record 8,000 entries from 60 countries by 400,000 public votes and a panel of 80 Web experts to recognise excellence in about 100 different categories. Using a cellular phone does not increase a person's risk of cancer, according to a broad study released on Tuesday involving more than 400,000 Danish cellular telephone users. A team of researchers used data on the entire population of Denmark to determine that neither short- nor long-term use of cellular phones, also called mobile phones, was linked to a greater risk of tumours of the brain and nervous system, salivary gland or eyes, leukaemia or cancer overall.
