Deadline met for wireless broadband licences sale

The government's attempt to sell licences to provide wireless broadband services across the UK has finally succeeded, with all 15 licences snapped up before yesterday's deadline. Microsoft already at work on Vista's successor, codenamed Vienna

With Vista barely a couple of months old, it seems that we won't have to wait five years until Microsoft unveils the new OS's replacement. Ben Fathi, a corporate VP in Microsoft's Windows Core Operating System Division, said in a media interview that the software company is drawing up plans to usurp the software with a follow-up codenamed 'Vienna'. Adobe scans barcodes into the PDF format

Adobe is expected to announce the addition of barcodes to PDF-based electronic forms. The move is designed to make it easier for paper-based businesses to switch to electronic data gathering, according to a report on CNet.
