BT to broaden broadband options

BT is considering proposals to offer wholesale broadband on a 'pay-as-you-go' or 'by bandwidth' basis to ISPs. The pricing options will be available later this year to BT's IPStream customers, and will mean those ISPs can pay month-by-month, by network usage or based on capacity used. Linux takes a hit from Dell

The advance of Linux onto desktops has been dealt a blow by Dell. The company, which recently overtook Compaq as the world's number one PC builder, has decided to cease offering Linux as a pre-installed option for its desktop machines, citing lack of demand from consumers.
