Pen tablet maker Wacom has introduced its first Bluetooth tablet, pen and mouse combination that enables users to work wirelessly up to 10m from their computer. The metallic silver A5 Graphire tablet has a working area of 8x6in and includes a photo frame for tracing images and two programmable buttons. EU sets limits on mobile roaming charges

The EU has finally agreed limits on the cost of using a mobile phone abroad. European Union ministers adopted price ceilings established after a year of debate between the European Commission, Parliament and member states. Current EU president Germany said that the new rules will slash the price of making and receiving calls between one EU country to another by cutting 'roaming' charges to a quarter or a fifth of what phone users now pay. ...more

Aibo receives 40,000 orders

The virtual dog that's making all the headlines proves he's not a flash in the pan. Sony has revealed that it has received 40,000 orders for the new version of its robot dog Aibo in the four weeks since its launch on November. A spokesperson revealed that orders for the new ERS-210 topped 40,000 on December 11, while the company has already sold over 45,000 units of its original Aibo unit worldwide. ...more

Sun signs up for Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Sun has entered into a global agreement with Red Hat to distribute the x86 versions Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The two companies have also agreed to 'broaden the use of each other's technologies'.
