Microsoft anti-trust ruling, the confusion continues

The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia has finally come to a judgement over the Microsoft anti-trust case, and it's a bit of a curate's egg. In part, the circuit judges have affirmed the decisions of the lower court and in part they have reversed them. Nokia unveils next-gen Communicator

Nokia has announced the successor to its Communicator hybrid smartphone: the Nokia 9300. The device opens up to reveal a full keyboard and 65,536 color screen with eight buttons for key applications and a five-way joystick for easy navigation. Be launches its ADSL2+ broadband

Be has announced the launch of its ADSL2+ broadband service, following a brief trial. BT unbundles a bit, but faces legal action

Oftel is planning an enquiry into BT's slack approach to local loop unbundling. Following a number of complaints from telecom companies, the regulator will check on a number of local exchanges to see if they are really unready to be made available. BT has claimed that many are not suitable, and has created a blacklist - comprising some of the most desirable exchanges in highly sought-after areas. ...more
