Google launches AdWords over the airwaves

Google is bringing its AdWords programme to digital radio listeners in the states, offering a new radio ad distribution channel for Google advertisers. The search giant has announced an agreement with XM Satellite Radio - a satellite radio service in the States, with 7 million listeners - to open up advertising slots on non-music channels. Apple denies EMI iPod compatibility claims

Apple has denied a claim by EMI that its copy-protected CDs will be compatible with iPods. The record label said that Apple is making changes to its leading portable music player so it will be able to play the DRM-encoded tracks from the CDs. 'Apple is nearly finished with the technical work necessary to enable consumers to transfer music from content-protected discs to their iPods,' EMI said in a statement. ...more
