Microsoft allows Office to be bundled with new PCs

Microsoft is making the first heave on the Office 2007 bandwagon due at the beginning of next year with a series of new initiatives to recruit new retailers and tempting customers to upgrade. At the Worldwide Partner Conference 2006 in Boston, the company has announced new initiatives that will allow OEMs to bundle Office Home and the Education version with a new PC. UK games chart: Need for Speed heading for Xmas number one

Things are very much as they were at the top of this week's ELSPA UK games chart. Activision's WWII console game Call of Duty: Finest Hour climbs to number three ahead of the THQ-published The Incredibles and EA's FIFA 2005. BT admits to bandwidth curbs

BTOpenworld, BT's broadband Internet division, has admitted putting curbs on certain Web sites bandwidth having previously denied that it was doing so. BTOpenworld admitted - in an email sent out in response to complaints - that it had imposed, 'traffic controls on particular applications and ports.' UK games chart: Medal of Honor assaults number one

Medal of Honor: European Assault has battled its way to the top of this weeks ELSPA UK games chart. EA's multi-console-format first person shooter reaches the top after two weeks in the charts. In a busy week there are also six new entries: Battlefield 2 (EA's war game for the PC), Destroy All Humans! (THQ's action game for the PS2 and Xbox), Tekken 5 (Namco's beat 'em up for the PS2), Conker: Live And Reloaded (Microsoft's adventure game for the Xbox), Dynasty Warriors 5 (Koei's strategy adventure for the PS2 and Xbox) and Mx Vs ATV Unleashed (quad bike-like racing from THQ, again for the PS2 and Xbox). ...more
