China chucks out 'I'm Going' In computer game Reports in China's People's Daily say that the country's State Press and Publication Administration (SPPA) 'issued an order Wednesday to investigate and recover all copies' of Project IGI2 because it intentionally blackened the image of both China and its army. Published over here by Codemasters, Project IGI2 (I'm Going In): Covert Strike is a first person shooter in which the protagonist must complete a series of undercover missions in the former Soviet Union, Libya and China, involving sabotage and the latter of which includes shooting at Chinese soldiers. RIAA claims victory over file sharers

The Recording Industry of America Association is claiming victory in the war against the file sharers and says the problem has now been 'contained'. 'The problem has not been eliminated,' the RIAA CEO Mitch Bainwol told USA Today 'But we believe digital downloads have emerged into a growing, thriving business, and file-trading is flat.' Over the past few years, the RIAA has sued thousands of music fans in the United States for file sharing, which has left a bad taste even with the ex-CEO of the organisation. ...more

Allofmp3 denies link to arrested London man

The Russian owners of Allofmp3.com deny that a man arrested in London for alleged copyright violations was the European agent for the controversial music downloads site. In a statement, they say that the unnamed Londoner 'was hastily declared an employee of the European office of Allofmp3' and denied that their business operates outside its home country. ...more
