Overture Launches 'Content Match' contextual ad service

Leading pay per placement company Overture Services has jumped on the contextual advertising bandwagon with Content Match. The new product places the company's search results - which have been paid for by advertisers - on relevant content-based pages of its distribution partners' Web sites. IBM is making a Linux version of its Lotus collaboration and messaging platform available. Badged as the industry's first business-grade collaboration software for Linux on the desktop, IBM Lotus Notes for Linux is intended to push the adoption of Linux desktops both for existing Lotus users and for the next-generation of startups and SMEs considering Linux. Yahoo! is looking to give its users an easier way to organise, search and share favourite Web pages. It also says it is introducing a simplified version of the Yahoo! toolbar that features a one-click way to bookmark Web pages.
