Google fails in latest legal bid against Microsoft

Google has failed in its attempt to have the case brought by Microsoft over its ex-employee Kai-Fu Lee to be heard in California. Google attempted to have the case heard in California rather than Washington because the kind of contract signed by Lee is considered unlawful in Google's home state but not in Microsoft's. Apple has been sending out invitations to a special event on 12 September, when many expect it to unveil an iTunes movie store. The invitation to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco reads 'It's Showtime' over an image of a white Apple logo swept by four criss-crossing movie premiere-style spotlights. Apple has announced a new computer designed specifically for the education market. Modelled on the original iMac but with a new, white casing design, the G4 eMac features a 17 inch CRT display.
