BT to extend SDSL to 50 extra exchanges

BT has announced that it is to extend the range of its SDSL broadband services to 50 further exchanges in the Greater London and West Midlands areas. This will bring the total number of SDSL-enabled exchanges to 150, following the September roll-out of the service. IBM previews XBox 360 chip

IBM has talked up its XBox 360 chips at the In-Stat Fall Processor Forum in San Jose, California in the run up to launch of the next-gen console. It said the chip comprises three 64-bit PowerPC cores running at 3.2GHz and sharing a 1MB Level2 cache. ...more

25 new broadband dates, SDSL trial extended

BT has announced when 25 more exchanges will be broadband enabled. This is the first set of dates to reflect the impact of subtending technology, which enables exchanges to be linked together to provide additional bandwidth.
